Whether you are learning something new, working on particular aspects of your playing, developing your repertoire or preparing for a performance or audition, the lessons are adapted to your needs and musical goals.
My specialist work focuses on helping violinists and violists with physical problems connected with playing. Private violin lessons are offered separately for players who want to develop their technique, musicianship, repertoire or performance skills.
Developing Your Playing
Good violin playing involves both technical control and musical understanding.
Lessons can focus on the areas that are most relevant to you, including:

There is no fixed programme that every student has to follow.
My Teaching Experience
I have 45 years of experience playing and teaching the violin.
I studied at the Conservatory of Utrecht with Pavel Šorm, Concertmaster of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
I also studied with Prunella Pacey, Soloist and Principal Viola of the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
My experience includes both the Russian and Belgian-French violin traditions, as well as playing and teaching with and without a shoulder rest.

Monthly payment
All lessons are paid monthly in advance at the regular lesson rate.
The regular monthly arrangement consists of 40 lessons per year, with the annual amount paid in 12 monthly payments:
30 minutes — US$150/month
45 minutes — US$216/month
60 minutes — US$283/month
One-year commitment
Students who commit to weekly lessons for a full year receive a 10% discount.
The one-year commitment consists of 40 lessons per year.
The discounted annual fee is paid in 12 equal monthly payments:
30 minutes — US$135/month
45 minutes — US$195/month
60 minutes — US$255/month
Other lesson lengths and arrangements are available on request.
Trial Violin Lesson
45 minutes — US$45
A single introductory lesson for new students who would like to experience a lesson before deciding whether to continue.
The trial lesson does not automatically create an ongoing lesson arrangement. If you decide to continue, we can agree on either the regular monthly arrangement or the one-year arrangement.
The trial lesson is paid in advance. The normal cancellation and rescheduling terms apply.

Online lessons are available internationally.
